Fair Housing Act and Human Rights Code
Last Updated: May 15, 2023
At Leap Lease, we are committed to upholding the principles of fairness, equality, and non-discrimination in all real estate transactions. In the United States, all properties advertised on our platform are subject to the US Fair Housing Act, which prohibits any form of discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, or any intention to discriminate.
Similarly, in Canada, all properties listed on our platform adhere to the Human Rights Code, which safeguards against discrimination based on various factors such as race, ancestry, place of origin, color, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family status, and disability.
While we rely on third-party submissions for property listings, we strictly prohibit any advertising that violates these laws and regulations. We do not knowingly accept any listings that promote discriminatory practices. We strive to provide an equal opportunity housing platform for all individuals.
We encourage our users to report any ads or listings that may indicate an unlawful preference, limitation, or discrimination. If you come across such content, please notify us immediately, and we will take prompt and appropriate actions to address the issue. Your cooperation helps us maintain a safe, inclusive, and compliant environment for everyone.
At Leap Lease, we believe in fostering a community where everyone can access housing opportunities without facing discrimination or bias.
